Privacy Notice for Clients of a Law Firm
Information about the processing of personal data.
1. Advocate Agnieszka Stach, Law Office in Szczecin at ul. Bolesława Śmiałego 27/13, has received from you information constituting personal data. She will use it exclusively for the purposes of pursuing claims on your behalf, providing legal advice, preparing legal opinions, or conducting defense. The data will be processed in accordance with Article 6(1)(c) and Article 9(2)(g) of the GDPR, meaning that its processing is permitted by specific provisions of law, including individual procedural provisions that indicate the specific scope of personal data required in connection with particular procedural actions — Article 126 § 1 and 2 of the Code of Civil Procedure, and Article 63 § 2, 3 and 3a of the Code of Administrative Procedure.
2. The Advocate’s actions are undertaken on the basis of legal provisions imposing obligations on her related to the performance of her function and duties. This meets the requirements of Article 6(1)(b) and (e), and Article 9(2)(g), (f), and (j) of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 — GDPR.
3. The detailed scope of the Advocate’s duties is defined by generally applicable laws, in particular the Act of 26 May 1982 — Law on the Bar, Journal of Laws 1982 No. 16, item 124, as amended.
4. The recipients of your personal data will be entities to which court pleadings and other letters are addressed, attorneys of the parties to court proceedings, the Court, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Police, National Revenue Administration authorities, and other bodies conducting proceedings. Your personal data will also be received by the Accounting Office with which the Advocate has concluded an accounting services agreement.
5. Your personal data will be stored for a period of one year from the completion of the assignment. Documents that may constitute the basis for the Advocate’s liability will be stored until the end of the limitation period for any potential claims against the Advocate, in accordance with § 5(2) of the Regulations on the Practice of the Profession of Advocate in an Individual Law Office or in Companies.
6. Information constituting your personal data is used by the Advocate in connection with existing statutory requirements. This means that you are obliged to provide the personal data necessary for the proper, legally compliant performance of the mandate agreement with the Advocate. Failure to provide such personal data will result in the inability to represent you.
7. In accordance with applicable law, you have the right to access information constituting your personal data. You may also correct it or request its deletion, where provided for by legal provisions.
